LEGAL · TERMS OF SERVICE

A contract written like a product.

These terms describe what ReelTrip AI is, what we commit to deliver, what you commit when you use the service, and the boundaries that protect both sides. They are designed to be read.

Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and ReelTrip AI (“ReelTrip,” “we,” “us”) — an AI-powered travel discovery and planning platform operated from Sydney, Australia by an Australian-registered sole trader, ABN 65 969 184 287 — in relation to your use of the service available at reeltripai.com and any related applications, APIs, and extensions (the “Service”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02

The service

ReelTrip AI is an AI-powered travel discovery and planning platform. The Service:

  • Transforms short-form travel videos and natural-language prompts into reasoned, day-by-day trip blueprints.
  • Curates and presents thematic Travel Worlds composed of public, AI-validated travel content.
  • Personalises recommendations using your interactions (Travel DNA).
  • Surfaces accommodation, experience, and activity options through third-party booking partners.
  • Provides shareable artifacts, collaboration features, and exports of generated trips.
What ReelTrip AI is not

ReelTrip AI is an intelligence layer, not a booking provider. We do not sell travel inventory. We do not collect payment for bookings. We do not assume the role of travel agent. All bookings are completed by you, on the third party's platform, under that party's terms.

03

Eligibility

The Service is available to individuals who are at least 16 years old (or the higher digital-consent age in your jurisdiction). By using the Service you represent that:

  • You meet the minimum age requirement.
  • You have legal capacity to enter this agreement.
  • You are not barred from using the Service under the laws of your jurisdiction or any applicable trade-sanction regime.
  • If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you have authority to bind that organisation.
04

Accounts & security

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the information you provide.
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials (authentication is delegated to Clerk; we recommend enabling MFA).
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us at legal@reeltripai.com immediately on any suspected unauthorised access.
05

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service or its underlying APIs.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except under our published responsible-disclosure programme.
  • Bypass, attempt to bypass, or interfere with rate limits, quotas, or access controls.
  • Use the Service to generate, promote, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, fraudulent, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes the rights of others.
  • Submit URLs to content you do not have the right to use, including but not limited to copyrighted videos uploaded without the creator's permission.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute generated trips except as expressly permitted under a paid plan.
  • Use the Service to violate the terms of any third-party platform (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Community Guidelines).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Egregious or repeated violations may also trigger permanent IP-range blocks and referral to law enforcement where warranted.

06

Your content

Your Content” means anything you submit, generate, or upload to the Service — including reel URLs, prompts, customisations, generated itineraries, notes, comments, votes, collaborator contributions, and any media you share.

You retain ownership of Your Content

You grant ReelTrip a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to deliver the Service to you (and, where applicable, to collaborators you invite or recipients of trips you publish). This licence is automatically revoked when you delete the content.

Aggregated and de-identified data

We may compile aggregate, fully de-identified statistics from Your Content (e.g. “X% of users in May planned trips to South America”) for product improvement and marketing. Such aggregates can never be reverse-engineered to identify you.

07

Trip & Travel World ownership

Your trips
Trips you generate are yours for personal travel use. You may print, save, share publicly, fork into derivatives, and export to PDF. Commercial redistribution — selling, sublicensing, repackaging into another commercial product — is reserved to paid plans and requires written agreement for redistribution at scale.
Travel Worlds
Travel Worlds are our intellectual property. The curation, ranking, thematic structuring, and Discovery scoring are proprietary. You may view, save, and use them to plan personal trips. You may not republish a Travel World as your own curated collection on a competing platform.
Discovery Hub content
Editorial sections, the AI Concierge, and ranking algorithms are our IP. Underlying public content (e.g. YouTube videos shown via the official API) remains the property of the original creators and platform.
08

Shared, public, forked trips

When you publish a trip as public or discoverable, you grant other users a worldwide, royalty-free licence to view it on ReelTrip AI, save it to their library, fork it into a derivative trip, and share the public URL through standard channels.

Forking

A “fork” is a derivative trip created by another user from your published original. Forks display lineage attribution back to your trip by default. Forkers may customise their fork freely; their changes are theirs. Attribution may be hidden by the forker only if you have explicitly enabled that option on your original.

Collaborative trips

You may invite collaborators (editors, commenters, viewers) on any trip. Inviting a collaborator extends them a scoped licence to the trip content matching their role. Owners may revoke collaborator access at any time; revocation removes future access but does not unwind prior contributions.

Takedown

You may unpublish a public trip at any time from your account. Once unpublished, we remove it from our public-facing surfaces and begin a search-engine deindexing process. Cached copies on third-party search engines may persist for a short period beyond our control.

09

AI-generated content

Important — read carefully
  1. AI-generated trip recommendations are recommendations only. They are produced by language models that may include inaccuracies.
  2. You are responsible for all final travel decisions and bookings.
  3. Availability, pricing, opening hours, visa rules, weather, safety conditions, and partner offerings may change after a recommendation is generated. Verify independently before booking or travelling.
  4. Travel recommendations may evolve over time as our models, data, and partner integrations improve. The same prompt may produce a different output later.

The Service is a planning tool, not professional travel, medical, legal, or financial advice. For high-stakes decisions (e.g. travel during a crisis, medical considerations, complex visa scenarios), consult a qualified professional.

10

Third-party integrations

The Service incorporates third-party components — identity (Clerk), payments (Stripe), AI providers (Anthropic, Google, OpenAI), mapping (Mapbox, Google Maps), imagery (Pexels, Google Places photos), analytics (Plausible), and the booking partners listed in Section 11. Each is subject to its own terms; your use of the Service incorporates those terms by reference where their integration is essential.

We are not responsible for outages, defects, content, pricing, or policy changes by any third party. We will use commercial best efforts to maintain integrations and to announce material changes (e.g. a booking partner deprecating an API).

11

Booking & affiliate providers

We refer travellers to booking partners — currently Booking.com, Expedia, GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook, Skyscanner, Hotels.com, and additional partners listed at /partners as they launch.

The transaction is with the partner, not us

When you click through to a partner, your transaction is between you and that partner, subject to their terms and refund policy. We earn an affiliate commission if you book, but we do not mark up the partner's price.

We are not liable for partner experiences

Quality, accuracy, fulfillment, refunds, and disputes for bookings made on partner platforms are the partner's responsibility. We will assist you in good faith if you contact us about a problematic partner experience, but we have no obligation or authority to compel a partner outcome.

Tour, accommodation, activity providers

Where tour operators, accommodation hosts, or activity providers appear inside our partner integrations, the contractual relationship is solely between you and that provider, mediated by the booking partner. ReelTrip is not a party to that contract.

12

The following remain at all times the exclusive intellectual property of ReelTrip and our licensors:

ReelTrip AI brand
Name, logo, marks, design language, typography system, brand voice.

Public Content
Owned by the original creators / publishers. We display public content under fair-use and platform-API terms.

Notice of alleged infringement may be sent to legal@reeltripai.com. We honour valid DMCA notices and equivalent notice-and-takedown regimes in the jurisdictions where we operate.

13

Subscriptions, premium & enterprise

Free plan
Available without subscription. Generation quotas apply; specific limits are published in-product and may evolve.
Premium plan
Paid monthly or annually via Stripe at the published price. Annual plans receive a 30-day refund window from purchase.
Passport Membership
Annual geographic mega-collection access (e.g. an entire continent). Same 30-day refund window; cancellation stops auto-renewal but preserves access through the paid period.
VIP Collections
One-time purchase paid premium collections (e.g. Michelin Asia). Refunds available within 14 days of purchase if the collection has not been used.
Enterprise plans
Custom contracts negotiated bilaterally for tourism boards, hospitality groups, OTAs, and corporate clients. Terms supersede or supplement these public Terms as agreed in the contract.

Auto-renewal

Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. You may cancel at any time from Account → Billing; access continues through the period you have paid for. We will notify you of any price change at least 7 days before it takes effect, with the option to cancel before the new price applies.

14

Refunds

  • Annual subscriptions: refund available within 30 days of initial purchase, less the pro-rata value of usage if substantial generation quota has been consumed.
  • Monthly subscriptions: not refundable; you may cancel at any time and access continues through the paid period.
  • VIP Collections (one-time purchase): refundable within 14 days if not opened. Once a trip has been generated from the collection, the purchase is considered consumed.
  • Enterprise contracts: refund terms as agreed in the signed contract.
  • Statutory consumer guarantees: nothing in this section excludes or limits non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent regimes in your jurisdiction.
15

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free, or that AI-generated recommendations will be accurate, current, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimer would be void under applicable consumer-protection law (in which case the disclaimer is limited to the maximum extent permitted).

16

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) AUD $100.
  • Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability.
  • Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
17

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReelTrip and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your breach of these Terms or our Privacy Policy.
  • Your violation of any law or third-party right (including IP and privacy rights).
  • Your submission of content you do not have the right to use.
  • Your misuse of the Service, including circumvention of rate limits, scraping, or commercial redistribution outside the licence in Section 6.

We will provide prompt written notice of any claim and reasonable cooperation in defence. You may not settle a claim that imposes obligations on us without our prior written consent.

18

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service:

  • For breach of these Terms or our Acceptable Use rules.
  • To comply with legal process or a regulator's direction.
  • To prevent harm to other users, partners, or the integrity of the Service.
  • If a payment fails and is not cured within 14 days.

You may terminate at any time by deleting your account from Account → Privacy → Delete account. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as set out in Section 14. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including IP, liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive.

19

Changes to the service or terms

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. Material changes to the Terms will be notified to registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect, with a plain-language summary of what changed. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue specific features at our discretion. Where a paid feature is discontinued, we will refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.

20

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall proceed to mediation in Sydney under the Resolution Institute Mediation Rules. If mediation fails, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides a different forum or law (for example, EU consumer rights in the country of habitual residence), that law prevails to the minimum extent required.
